“The trendiest and most effortless hairstyles for the summer season are wash and go’s, twist/braid outs, rod sets, boho braids, faux locs, knotless braids, twist extensions, half up half downs, and various braided styles,” explains Ms Cannonier-Darrell. “Summer is typically about keeping hair cool and easy to style, with styles that allow for maximum breathability and ease during summer activities like swimming.”
“My personal favorite go-to styles during summer are the wash and go and a twist/braid out. The key to the duration of any summer style is moisture balance. The sun can be hot and drying for the hair, so getting on a moisture schedule is crucial.”

“The most popular styles I see during the summer are knotless braids, boho braids, faux locs, crochet styles, twisted styles, and almost everything in between. Braids can be very easy for summer for adults and children alike, as they are easy to manage, keep hair largely packed away, and can be styled in a variety of cute and trendy ways.”

“One of the trendiest and most effortless makeup looks for the summer season is all about achieving a dewy, radiant glow,” she says. “Moisturizing and priming the skin is crucial for a better finish before applying makeup.”
Ms Trott recommends using Balance Moisturizer by ENZURI Beauty for hydration and Hydro Grip Primer by Milk Makeup for a flawless foundation application. Opting for lightweight foundations with a dewy finish, such as Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation provides a natural look while protecting the skin with SPF 20.
To enhance one’s glow, Ms Trott suggests using highlighter and concealer, such as LA Girl Pro Concealer, to brighten the T-zone. She emphasizes the importance of setting the T-zone with a translucent powder like Laura Mercier to prevent excess shine. “People often make the mistake of using too much product, leading to a heavy or cakey appearance. Less is more when it comes to foundation, and additional products should be used to enhance dimension rather than mask the skin.”
