  1. Miranda Sings

Miranda Sings is a fictional character, created in 2008, played by actress and YouTube personality Colleen Ballinger. In these videos, Miranda sings and dances badly, makes “tutorials”, “vlogs” her daily activities, discusses current events, collaborates with other YouTubers and reads hate mail responding with her catchphrase “Haters Back Off!”

  1. Nigahiga

Ryan Higa, known as nigahiga on YouTube is known for his comedy videos. He started in 2006 lip synching to songs with friend, Sean Fujiyoshi. From 2009 to 2011, nigahiga was the most subscribed channel on YouTube for 667 days.

  1. EvanTubeHD

Jared and Evan are a father and son team that decided to combine Jared’s passion for filmmaking and Evan’s love of toys to create the popular YouTube channel EvanTubeHD. They posted their first video in 2011 and continue to post up to three videos a week.

  1. PewDiePie

Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg is a Swedish web-based comedian and video producer. PewDiePie created his YouTube account in 2010 and is known for his ‘Let’s Play’ videos where he records himself playing video games. Since August 2013, he has been the most subscribed user on YouTube.

  1. Good Mythical Morning

Also known as GMM, Good Mythical Morning is a comedy talk show series created by Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal. It first aired on YouTube in January 2012 and is uploaded every weekday. Episodes include a topic for discussion, “taste test” and end with a spin of the “Wheel of Mythicality”. Many internet personalities and celebrities have also appeared on the show.

  1. REACT

The React channel is a series that showcases kids, teens and adults reacting to viral videos, trends, video games, film trailers, music videos and food. It launched with the YouTube debut of Kids React in October 2010. It then grew to four more series that are uploaded on the Fine Brothers’ main YouTube channel.

This educational YouTube channel was started by the Green brothers, Hank and Josh who are popular for their ‘VlogBrothers’ channel. They started by making humanities and science videos but now the show has now expanded to incorporate courses such as computer science and astronomy, film history and more.

  1. Brooklyn and Bailey

Identical twin sisters Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight are the daughters of YouTube star, Mindy from ‘CuteGirlsHairstyles’. They started their channel in 2010 and upload family vlogs, crafting, fashion and beauty videos, weekly. They also started another channel called ‘Squared’ which features videos just for twins!

  1. Zoella

English beauty and fashion vlogger and author, Zoe Sugg started her YouTube channel in 2009 after the success of her blog “Zoella”. There she posts mostly fashion, beauty hauls and ‘favourites’ videos, showing her favourite monthly products.
